KATHMANDU – The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has officially invited applications to fill four vacant positions on the Board of Directors of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). This move is part of the government’s ongoing effort to professionalize the leadership of the national flag carrier through a competitive and transparent selection process.
According to the official notice published on April 25, 2026 (Baisakh 12, 2083), the Ministry is seeking three members for immediate vacancies and one member for a position becoming vacant within the next six months.
Eligibility and Qualifications
To ensure high-level expertise within the board, the Ministry has set rigorous eligibility criteria:

Academic Expertise: Candidates must be highly regarded in the fields of Commerce, Economics, or Accountancy.

Professional Experience: Applicants must possess significant experience in Aviation or Tourism Promotion.

Legal Standing: Candidates must not be disqualified under Section 8 of the Nepal Airlines Corporation Act, 2019.

Citizenship: Applicants must be Nepali citizens and must not hold any foreign citizenship, permanent residency, or temporary residency permits.

Political Neutrality: Candidates must confirm they are not currently members of any political party.
Application Requirements
Interested and qualified individuals are required to submit their applications within seven days of the notice publication. The application package must include:

A formal application and self-declaration form.

Certified copies of educational certificates and citizenship.

A detailed curriculum vitae (CV) and experience certificates.

A Professional Business Plan: A sealed business plan of at least 3,000 words, prepared in either Nepali or English.
Note: All submitted documents from academic to experience certificates must be certified by a Notary Public.
Selection Process
The Ministry will evaluate candidates based on their submitted documents and business plans. Shortlisted applicants will then be required to participate in a presentation and formal interview. Final appointments will be made based on merit and the potential to contribute to the strategic growth of the corporation.
